Manifesto by workmen in Hong Kong to their fellow-

countrymen on the subject of the incident on board the

SS Fat-shan.

Unreasonable interference by British Imperialists

with the memorial service in commemoration of our

President.

Boycott of steamers under the British flag.

Our dear fellow-countrymen!

Since the time

when our movement protesting against the incident of May the 30th. began, we, hating as we do the cruel ty

and violence of the British Imperialists, have continued

to strengthen our united fighting front and work as one

man to carry out the complete boycott of British trade. We have carried on the boycott for over a year with

marked success. The Canton-Hong Kong Strike carried through to a sucessful end by our dear comrades and fellow-workmen, may indeed be said to constitute the first page in the glorious history of our Racial Revolu- tion. But the British Imperialists have not yet been

brought to their senses. They still pursue the same

violent and reckless methods as of old. Wanshien was

littered with dead bodies, and Hankow and Kiukiang were

drenched in blood. Shortly after they adopted the gun- boat policy, they again resolved to resort to armed intervention, and have sent troops to China to make another demonstration. Yesterday was the 2nd. anniversary

of the death of our President. Our dear revolutionary comrades who work in Hong Kong, inspired with the revolu- tionary spirit and mourning on the return of this day of sorrow to all the world, resolved on their own

initiative to observe it solemnly. But unexpectedly
